The female/male sibling deities associated with the twin suns in the sky of Tarisia, elemental fire, anger/rage, duality, youth, dance or performance, and patron of the Asura. They cross each other in the sky every few days as they orbit. Kyra is always named first, as she is the one most often “leading” Kiran across the sky in their dance. Children of Taris, and said to have burned with a fiery rage 1000 times more intense after her capture.
Highly revered on Tarisia, especially in the city of Wrend where the Temples of the Twin Suns feature prominently, and the high priests, known as The Illuminators, claim to be the walking avatars of the gods themselves. They preach that the twins can only be appeased with mass, ritualistic blood sacrifice, and that the harsh heat of the world is due to a failure to satisfy the god’s demands.
