While large bodies of water are nearly non-existent, clever Tarisians have developed means of traversing the sands as if they were the open sea.
One notable exception is the city-state of Ak-ta that stands atop the Defiled Lakes. There, small boats are used to navigate around the city’s shallow waterways. Occasionally, the rare expedition crosses to the opposing shores where the encroaching wilds have consumed the once sister city of Casshern.
